It is recognized that there is a rapidly increasing awareness of the need for quantum computing applications, and there is a great desire to produce quality quantum software in a controlled manner. However, this is ineffective unless research and practitioners come to understand how software engineering can help. As the Talavera Manifesto for Quantum Software Engineering and Programming stated Quantum Software Engineering (QSE) is a necessary contribution to the success of quantum computing.

On October 19th, join the 2nd Quantum Software Engineering and Technology Workshop (QuSET) organized by aQuantum and UCLM, and learn about trends and applications of Quantum Software Engineering.

QuSET is co-located with IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (IEEE Quantum Week).

Jose Luis Hevia, Guido Peterssen, Ezequiel Murina, Aurelio Martínez and Mario Piattini will present the “QuantumPath®´s Annealer Compositor”, which facilitates the definition and execution of annealing algorithms in either quantum annealing or digital annealing computers. QuantumPath® solves various challenges that quantum computing faces to become a widespread reality; on the one hand, the need to research and apply the existing software engineering processes; and on the other hand, the shortage of specialized workforce.
