Ignacio García Rodríguez de Guzmán, aQuantum Senior Researcher and Professor at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, presented a tutorial entitled “Quantum Software Engineering: Introduction to Programming” at the Advanced Ibero-American School on Software Engineering (EIbAIS), as part of the XXVI Ibero-American Conference on Software Engineering (CIbSE 2023), held in Montevideo (Uruguay), 24-28 April 2023.

The tutorial, which was attended by graduate students, professors and industry professionals, offered an introductory overview of quantum computing where the basic concepts that describe this new paradigm were worked on. The main algorithms of quantum computing (Bell, Teleportation, Grover, superdense coding and Shor, among others) were also presented and a sample of the main platforms for the development of quantum software was shown. Finally, the tutorial ended with a practical session using QuantumPath®, where some guided exercises were carried out, implemented collaboratively among all attendees.

The aQuantum Team congratulates Nacho for the contribution to the dissemination of Quantum Software Engineering.
