Ricardo Pérez del Castillo, aQuantum Senior Researcher, participated in the 1st Working Symposium on Quantum Software Engineering (WSQSE), organized by the Institute of Computer Science, University of Innsbruck, Austria (15-16 December 2022). WSQSE is a two-day symposium of talks, activities and workshops that has brought together researchers in software engineering and quantum computing from all over Europe. Ricardo presented the progress of aQuantum’s research on hybrid (classical-quantum) software modernization. In addition, he was able to visit the trapped-ion quantum computer of Alpine Quantum Technologies, a spinoff of the University of Innsbruck.
